The award is given to a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for the C(JC) Jurisdiction of Durable Medical Equipment (EMR). The purpose of this contract is to provide certain administrative services for health insurance benefits, including the processing of health insurance claims and payment services, in support of the traditional Medicare program. The Contractor performs numerous functions on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries and establishes relationships with suppliers of EMRs, prostheses, orthotics and accessories (DMEPOS) for a defined geographic jurisdiction.
